Child Find provides free developmental screenings and evaluations for children ages two and a half to five suspected of having a developmental delay or disability, who live in the City of Alexandria.

The Kathy Wilson Foundation has an "emerging partnership" around the city's initiative to provide universal screening for all young children in Alexandria.

Early Intervention (PIE)

The Infant & Toddler Connection of Alexandria/Parent Infant Education (PIE) Program provides early intervention supports and services to infants and toddlers who are not developing as expected or who have a medical condition that can delay normal development.

Parent Educational Advocacy and Training Center (PEATC)

The Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center builds positive futures for Virginia’s children by working collaboratively with families, schools and communities in order to improve opportunities for excellence in education and success in school and community life. Our special focus is children with disabilities.
